I just realized I only have a first name. I don't have a last name, but you have. You're like a title.

You're like a title. You used to have a last name. I know. Newmire's last name, but I just, you know, ever since I did comedy, or started in comedy, people couldn't get over with my first

name. The white guy, Lamar, they just never got the last name. They would, true story,

they would even sign my checks at the comedy club, just Lamar. For like, for six months,

they didn't even know what my last name was. That's funny. So anyway, well, anyway, glad to see you back here,

glad that I'm back on here.

And today, we are going to be covering Acts 6 through 9.

And if you've already, if you've been following along,

you will have heard Kerry talk about the first part of Acts, Acts 1 through 5.

So just to set the stage, if you're just

joining now, or if you haven't heard the previous episode, go check that out. But Axe is an

interesting book. It's not a complete history, but it seems to hit the highlights of what

happened. So we attribute it to Luke and Luke is, writes in two parts.

He writes the gospel part, which is the, uh, the, uh, you know, the happenings of Jesus from

the beginning and, and gives a whole history there. And then the second part is, and this is what

happens after he's gone. And it picks up there, and we see some new

faces, and we see how the church grows, and that's kind of the background of where we find

ourselves in Luke, and Kerry covered all that, so check out his previous episode on that.

But that's where we are today, and we're going to have Saul and Paul that is going to come
