Hello, welcome to the road trip podcast. My name is Chris Trevino and I'm your host for this Texas

journey. Now, I know you're wondering, listener, if you've listened to this podcast before,

you're wondering what airport are you in? Chris, what time is it? Where are you going? Where's the

layover going to be? What is the gate check going to be? You're wondering all these things

that I have established with this podcast and what comes with it.

But letting you in on a little secret, we're going to do things differently this episode.

Yes, I decided to make some changes.

And we're not really going to do it, gate check.

We're not going to do a layover because currently I am in San Antonio, Texas. I'm already here. We're starting the episode,

not in California, but in Texas. I'm actually at the Alamo Dome right now. I'm under the field

right now in sort of the media press area. I think I can hear USC actually practicing on the field

right now. I might go over there and try to peek. I might get shot. I don't know.

We'll see if this continues. But why am I not recording from an airport? Well, it was the holidays.

You know, things tend to get put to the side during the holidays. You got a lot to do,

presents, family cooking, all that stuff going on. So I got kind of behind on all that and

preparing for this road trip podcast. To be honest, I kind of forgot I was going to do an episode

with this. I know I talked about the last time, and I'm still not happy about the last one,

the Oregon one, because of the technical difficulties. So there was a lot going on there.

I was a little discouraged, but I decided got a new chord.

We're going to see it through. We're going to do a season finale for 2025 for USC and this

podcast, since we are going on the road. We're in San Antonio, Texas, a city I know a lot about.

My family is from here. My mom is from here. My dad is from here.
