Welcome to another edition of the Road Trip Podcast. I am your host, Chris Trevino. We are currently at

John Wayne Airport. It is 6.14 in the morning. We are very, very different from our 2.30 in the morning

LAX additions from the last two episodes. I actually got to sleep this

evening. You could probably hear it in my voice. I am not as tired as I was kicking off the Champagne

episode and the South Bend episode. So we're already off to a much better start.

Again, I am in John Wayne Airport.

I like this airport.

I'm outside of the Ruby's Diner, kind of that sitting era, just to area, excuse me,

just to set the stage of where I am.

This is not a super, super busy airport like LAX. It feels a little bit smaller,

a little bit more intimate. It does have issues, but overall I do like this airport. But enough

about the airport people. We are here to go on a journey to Lincoln, Nebraska. A place I'm

very, very excited to attend. We'll talk a little bit more about that

in our layover section when we get to the layover, keeping that a surprise for right now.

I do want to take the time to mention that I am your host, but I am also your unemployed host. I was recently laid off by

CBS on Wednesday. If you did not hear that news, I'm breaking it to you now over a week later,

but yes, I've officially been laid off today, the 31st Halloween, is my last

official day with CBS, very spooky, very on theme. They committed to the bit,

making my last day Halloween. I actually, I have to, I have to respect it. I simply have to. Nothing scarier than

unemployment. But I just want to say there has been a huge swell of support and love that's been

sent my way from fans, users, subscribers, former players, parents, USC admin, just a bunch of people have been

reaching out to me since I announced the news on Wednesday. So I want to say thank you to those
