Summary

Andy Benfield had spent much of his life living and travelling in different parts of the world, before moving to India, and developing his love for motorcycling on Royal Enfields. Years later, in an attempt to impress his girlfriend, Andy decided to make the trip from India to Burma by motorcycle, with his girlfriend. From stories about yetis and head-hunters to armed men and border crossings, it’s an adventure that’s both funny and scary as they make their way to their destination. And he chose a route that was to see him through a remote northern India, Nepal, Bhutan, and many other places, including a border crossing that's been closed for 50 years.

He intended to be the first person to cross that border along with his passenger.

1:13.7

He's riding in Royal Enfield and he had no mechanical skills, no sat phone, no camping

gear.

1:19.6

He did have that passenger, a passenger that he had trouble getting along with, yet at the same time he was trying to impress her with his travel skills.

1:27.0

The route would see them into the rebel-held country seldom seen by visitors where a visitor stands out like a tree in the plains.

1:35.3

They would end up in a fairy tale kingdom that has a large national park for the protection

of the Yeti and a place that is enshrined a part of the Yeti, and a place that is enshrined a part of the body that most of us think of as having

nothing to do with religion.
