Summary
Road to Reality is a limited edition series hosted by Kellyn Bechtold (@theKellynB) from Survivor Ghost Island. Listen in while she interviews former Survivor contestants about their real life and how being on reality television has had a major impact on their life trajectories. Every reality contestant has been on a story-worthy journey to land on television and yet the edit turns them into a hero or a villain or maybe something in between, but it is always just one dimension. Tune in to hear a 360 degree perspective from some of your favorite contestants.
In episode 7, Davie Rickenbacker from Survivor David v. Goliath talks us through how he ended up as a public health professional working at CDC during a pandemic, how being an extrovert means something different once you enter the world of reality tv, growing up as middle child of three boys in South Carolina, bringing his childhood dreams to life in adulthood, and how he’s navigating being an influencer online and in Atlanta, and of course – his experience of being on Survivor and his specific reasons for wanting to play again in the new era.
