| 0:00.0 | I'm Richard Porter, I'm Johnny Smith, and this is Smith and Smith a podcast in which two friends talk about cars of this week, Johnny's road rage. |
| 0:13.0 | As you might know, well in fact you do know because you somebody messaged us on the Smith and Smith website, and I think I got DM'd as well via Instagram about me driving that I was on the road in the taxi doing a long journey yesterday. |
| 0:31.0 | And I really enjoyed driving the Tokyo taxi, it's incredibly soft and quiet, albeit with no Bluetooth. |
| 0:43.0 | And how long was this journey? |
| 0:45.0 | Two and a half hours each way. |
| 0:47.0 | It's not insanely long journey, but the point is, I wasn't supposed to be doing it in the taxi, I was actually supposed to be doing it in my new long term Renault Zoe, ZD50. |
| 0:57.0 | But weirdly, it didn't charge overnight, and it said there was an earthing problem or an isolation problem that isn't satisfactory. |
| 1:09.0 | And so therefore it just wouldn't talk to the charger, so I was a bit confused by that. |
| 1:13.0 | And then I was in a fluster because I was leaving really early, and I'd put some trinkets in the car because I was going to see the Allegro and have some important chats about the Allegro project. |
| 1:24.0 | And you know when you're like, hell bent on, you've planned out your morning or your event for the day, and I'd already knew that car, I was going to make some Bluetooth phone calls, I've got to catch up on blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. |
| 1:37.0 | Couldn't do it because no charge. |
| 1:40.0 | So I thought, damn it, I have to take the Tokyo taxi. And actually I realized it wasn't tax, so while I was eating my musely, really quickly, I had to tax it. |
| 1:48.0 | I don't know if this sounds a bit first, well, problem me, like I couldn't take one of my cars, so I took one of my other cars. |
| 1:54.0 | Bloody free car wasn't working, so I had to take one of the many other cars. |
| 1:59.0 | It was a bit like that, I know, it is a bit like that. |
| 2:02.0 | But what's weird is it seemed to have inadvertently got paparazzied on the way, although in the morning, because I was left early in the morning, a lot of van drivers tradesmen on the way to jobs. |
| 2:14.0 | And it's always the dude in the passenger seat, who seems to have an owl-like head that can turn. |
| 2:19.0 | So his body is still fully back on the seat of the passenger seat in the van. |
| 2:24.0 | But the head, the head's 180 backwards, because he's doing that whole crane back thing. |
| 2:29.0 | And he's either doing Hans' sign language, sometimes positive, sometimes negative to Benny on the scenario. |
| 2:36.0 | But it was always great to clock what the passenger van passengers' body language was doing. |
| 2:43.0 | But yeah, they seem to appreciate the weirdness of the Tokyo taxi. |
