Today is July 12, 26, and this is episode 151 of The Roads Not Taken, which is a weekly series where we go over the news.

That was unreported, underreported, didn't get the

coverage we thought it deserved or we just found it interesting. And then we go through a few

questions from y'all. Today is July 12th and it's National Simplicity Day. So it's the day

to declutter. And on this date in 1962, please allow me to

introduce a band. They're a band of wealth and taste. They've been around for a long, long year,

and stole many a man's soul and faith. The Rolling Stones performed their first live concert.

And starting with foreign policy, the U.S. and Canada are reportedly set to reach a deal

on the Gordy Howe International Bridge to open by the end of July.

For a while, Trump's war was both a war and a peace.

Well, Trump's Schrodinger's war was finally observed, collapsed,

and it looks like his ineffective war is still on.

At least for now, but maybe Trump will sign another memo of surrender again.

As a bit of breaking news that wasn't included in last night's video on Iran,

Iran has reportedly closed the straight until further notice. Again, this comes after

Trump's demand to reopen it. There were reports that Iran had a plan to take out Trump.

Trump said that he left instructions to hit Iran if that happened.

Fun fact. The U.S. doesn't have a mechanism for Trump to do that.

But okay. Turkey wants more pressure on Israel,

but said there is no reason for open conflict. Trump is reportedly warming up to the idea

of heavy restrictions on Russian oil in an attempt to end Russia's war on Ukraine.
