| 0:14.7 | Our first crime that we featured was the John Boney Ramsey story. |
| 0:20.0 | And today, we are going to talk about Son of Sam. |

| 0:33.6 | But Mike just realized that he's 12 years older than Jim and seven years older than Woody. |

| 0:41.6 | And yes, it back in the day and back in Mike's day. |
| 0:47.0 | And so the crimes of Son of Sam were committed over a 13 month period from late June of 1976 |
| 0:55.3 | through early July of 1977. |
| 0:58.4 | But there was really a seven month period of absolute fear starting in January of 1977 to July of 1977, |

| 1:11.2 | But just to give you a little bit of the backdrop, the 1970s in New York City were not good. |
| 1:20.2 | The country was coming off of a devastating recession. |
| 1:25.9 | Remember all the challenges in the gas and oil business lines around the block for gas stations |
| 1:35.3 | and crime in New York City was at that point the highest levels of all time. |
