going to have to reschedule that for a later date. It is the Friday during

bye week. I was thinking about this. Remember before the season started, the 17 games was always

going to be a part of it, but there were negotiations for a potential second buy week with the 17

game schedule. It didn't come to fruition. I do think when they

eventually get to 18 games, which I would guess is going to happen in the next three to five years,

that we will be in an 18 game regular season schedule, two by weeks for sure with an 18 game

schedule, two preseason games, hopefully no more than that.

And maybe even a President's Day weekend Super Bowl, which would give all of you the day off following the Super Bowl.

But only one by week.

It's the Friday during by week, which typically means less Washington football team talk.

But we do have Washington football team talk today because Ron Rivera

spoke with Mike Silver for a story for the team's website, and he expressed some dismay, some

disappointment with two of his young defensive, I was about to say defensive stars, defensive

players. I will get to that here momentarily.

Did you know that in 1993, the NFL scheduled two buy weeks?

It's the only time in NFL history that you had planned two by weeks.

Now, after 9-11, the week two of the 9-11 season created essentially a second by week
