Hello friends and welcome to bedtime stories with Mr Jim.

Oh, I was just getting ready for bed.

Are you as well?

Oh, good. I hope you brushed your teeth and found all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies.

Oh yes, oh good.

Well, as long as you have all those things ready, then it's time for our story.

But first we must close our eyes so that we can travel to an imaginary world. River was in kindergarten and loved going to school. He loved his teachers and his friends riding on the school bus, playing on the playground

outside, learning how to read and how to count. There were so many things about school that River love to do.

Oh no, this morning when he woke up he had a fever and was not able to go to school.

River had to stay home so all day he laid in bed because he didn't feel good and had to take

medicine to help him feel better. His mom would read him a story every once in a while and would tuck him in with some really warm

blankets. What do you like to cuddle with?

Hmm, maybe some stuffed animals, some big warm blankets. River had a very special

blanket that he called Blinky and that helped him feel better, a lot better, when he was feeling sick.

After lunch, he started to feel a little bit better and there was a knock at the door.

It was one of his friends from school.

Scotty said, River, you're not going to believe this, said Scotty.

What?

What happened at school today?

said River.

And then Scotty said,

Well, wait, actually, why weren't you at school?
