Welcome to the story of River and his shoe.

One morning, which was a normal morning, river got up.

He woke up and crawled out of bed.

Oh, it was a beautiful Saturday morning as he looked out the window.

Whoo, I wonder what I'm going to do today, he said.

As he walked down the stairs, his mom was already in the kitchen baking some delicious waffles his favorite Saturday breakfast

She said hey River before you sit down and eat the waffles could you run this bag over to miss Davis's house and do me a favor

He said absolutely you see river loved doing his mom favors.

He loved helping and this was a great opportunity for him.

And so he was very excited.

He loved seeing Mrs. Davis she was their neighbor and a really

good family friend. So River raced over to the door to put his shoes on but oh my

gosh he couldn't find his right shoe he only saw his left shoe.

See their family puts all their shoes right next to their door in a very straight line.

Somehow all the shoes were there except for River's right shoe.

River said,

Mom, have you seen my right shoe?

Mom said, no honey, maybe check upstairs in your room, but I haven't seen it.

And so River raced upstairs and looked everywhere under his bed, under his pillow,

definitely wasn't there. He looked in his closet, he looked everywhere and nothing.

He came downstairs and was pretty sad because those were his favorite shoes.

He said, mom, I really don't know what to do.
