And today we're revisiting Risky Business.

Yeah. And I'm Carlos. And today we're revisiting risky business. Well, you know what's funny about both Tom Cruise movies we've looked at recently is that they each contain these moments that have become truly iconic in pop culture to the point where some of the parodies of these moments are just as well known.

And both of them are music related.

There's the you've lost that love and feeling, that scene in Top Gun,

and then the old time rock and roll scene in this. And when you look back on this stuff,

at least for me, it's amusing to think about why those moments, because they exist as something

separate from the film now. And then when you see them in context, it's sort of like how weird that

this became a thing, like of all the stuff in the movie, this is the thing that popped.

But I love that you never know what that moment is going to be or why it catches on. And I think

with risky business, it's a little bit clearer. Taps into a feeling that we've all experienced,

especially at that age.

And obviously, they knew that part of it, but the part where even 30-some years later,

there's still going to be people in that outfit every Halloween.

That's crazy and awesome.

And something you really can't reverse engineer. And I think when you feel a film trying to do that, it falls really flat. So like I said, I love that you never know what that moment that really catches on is going to be. And then like what an impressive track record Tom Cruise in particular has with delivering those types of moments.

Regardless of how you feel about him, that's just something this movie had me thinking about.

So we'll get to that scene in just a little bit.
