Maybe we have to not think. Hi and welcome to episode 48 of Art Juice. This is almost generous and hopefully humorous conversations to feed your creative soul and get you

thinking with me Louise Fletcher and me Alice Sheridan and we have lots and lots to talk about this week because we haven't been together for a couple of weeks,

but our main topic is going to be the topic of risk and adventure and that's going to be just as exciting as it sounds. We also have an interesting

question and we have all of our usual features so let's just get right on the bit. So Alice,

tell me what you've been up to this week.

Well I'm on flight recovery mode at the moment. I wondered this morning if actually I get

is it possible to get seasick when you fly on an aeroplane do you think think? I don't think they'd call it seasick. It's not seasick. It's just a kind of

slightly woozy sense of misbalance and I wonder if the pressure in the ears I just it's that

feeling a little bit like when you've been on a boat and your feet aren't quite

right? Yes I have had that when I've done a lot of science so I do. Okay well okay maybe I'm not going crazy then so I'm a little bit like that this morning having flown from London to Chicago to Mexico, back to Dallas and back to London again,

including a two hour sitting on the Tarmac flight delay,

which is really fun on the last really long leg of it so yeah it was about a 30 hour journey each way and the

reason I was doing all of that was to join one of Nicholas Wilton's art workshops in Mexico which they have at this

fantastic place called Haramara which is fantastic if you like no electricity and

camping in almost luxury.

So you have proper beds, lovely white drapey sheet things,

but open-sided cabanas and that's absolutely,

it was just the best experience so I went last year for that

this year we were in an apartment in town which meant that we were closer to the nightlife. It wasn't quite such a restful experience but it was good fun.

That may be as much as you're going to get.
