Summary

Honestly, this guy. Firstly, if you still remember Rishi Sunak is Prime Minister, then fair play to you, because he's practically invisible. But having reduced the country to state of 'massive burning skip', he's now set out 5 pledges which can be achieved through literally nothing the Tories do. This is taking the mick on a grand scale - and here's why we should see through every single pledge.

but she's an act. Remember him, he's that prime minister. Now, granted, there's every reason you've

0:06.3

you've forgotten, he's our prime minister, the very good reason for that, and he's largely invisible

0:11.6

and he's not very good. But then I see there was more annoying about him. Is it the fact he sounds

0:17.4

like a cross between a slightly patronising prime school teacher and one of the ones from

0:23.9

the in betweeners, if you want to look up who I'm talking about, once you hear it,

0:29.2

you'll never stop hearing it. Or is it the fact he's presiding over the disintegration

0:36.2

of the social fabric of the country? Now, to be fair, the latter just about edges it, what with

0:42.5

the mass poverty, collapsing public services and the resulting avoidable death. Anyway, he really

0:48.5

does just a FYI sound like a CBB's presenter, and to prove it, the comedian Matthew Heiton,

0:55.5

I hope I have pronounced his name correctly, has done a video proving it. We will rebuild trust

1:01.0

in politics through action, or not at all. So I ask you to judge us on the effort that we put

1:10.4

in and the results that we achieve. Lovely stuff. So that is Rishi Senak, actually doing a speech

1:24.8

today. He reappeared in public, lovely to hear from you Rishi, and he's setting out five pledges

1:30.3

for the country, full of ambition and verve and creativity. Now, he's done this lovely reassuring

1:36.4

speech, while the country is, as you may have noticed, convulsing crisis. Now, here's another

1:42.0

lovely comedian. She really is one of my favourites, Sue's Kempner, and she's mocked up a video which

1:47.2

really sets that a light. But right now, we've got a set of challenges that we're grappling with,

1:51.9

and that's the priority as I am, as I've outlined. And with granted inactivity, there's a range

1:57.9

of things that we are looking at, that the chancellor and the work and pension secretary are working

2:02.0

on together. If you're listening on the podcast, that was Rishi Senak superimposed on a video

2:07.2

of a burning forest. So, let's have a talk about the substance of Rishi Senak's little speech

2:15.7

at us, very generously, speaking to his, his people, his public us. So, now he clearly knows
