it's quite a day again i'm not sure when we're ever going to have a quiet day of rest

where we can actually contemplate what's going on in the world take it all in consider it and

wonder what might happen next.

Because instead what we've got is one in one out today. We've got Liz Truss. She's had her last

cabinet meeting. She'll be speaking to us in about 10 minutes time. Her farewell address from the

streets of Downing Street, from the steps of Downing Street, I should say. Then she's off to see

the king to officially resign as Prime Minister. Then Rishi Sunak is going to go and see the king and become the next Prime Minister,

the third Prime Minister in just about as many months, four months I think, technically speaking.

We've still got people in the Conservative Party very unhappy about the fact that Rishi Sunak has kind of been anointed as the new Prime Minister.

We've got lots of people telling us how

he's going to calm the markets. We've got lots of people telling us how he's going to be a good

steward for the economy. He knows how the economy works. There's crowds of people outside of

Downing Street. We'll be down there with him. Kate McCann is here. Peter Cardwell, of course,

as well, both of them down in Downey Street, giving us the lowdown on what's happening, telling us exactly who is likely to end up in the new Rishi Sunak cabinet.

There's talk that Suella Barabberman might come back.
