Hello, welcome to Prophecy Watchers. I'm Gary Stearman with a very special guest today. His name is

James B. D. Young, and he's got a lot to talk about. James, welcome back to Prophecy Watchers.

Well, thank you, Gary. It's a pleasure to be here in an opportunity. I really appreciate it to share within these books.

I want to start by introducing you to our audience. You have taught the Bible under what circumstances

and for how long? Well, I began at a Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon. I taught there for four years, and I taught courses that

included the Pentateuch for freshmen, and then for seniors, Hebrews to Revelation. So I was

immediately involved in teaching the book of Revelation back in 1971. And after four years, I applied to be,

I was invited to come to Western Seminary in the same area, that is Portland,

Oregon. And then for the next 40 years, I taught Greek and other New Testament classes, including

the book of Revelation again. So you know the Bible academically. Yes. And yet the book I'm holding,

which we're going to discuss, the title of it is supernatural encounters divine

and demonic. And Dr. DeYoung has a lot to say about the Bible as it intersects human life

day to day. You know, we can sometimes get a little bit bored about scripture.

Oh, scripture, you know, sometimes be tough and it's this chapter and that chapter and these

words and we sort of forget that it's talking about real people doing real things not only

in the old days but right up to today. The Bible describes

what's going on. And this book, Supernatural Encounters, places the Bible in that motif,

which I found very interesting.

My purpose was to update the fact that the Bible relates to us supernatural encounters,

truly from beginning to end, but it doesn't stop there. Supernatural encounters have gone on

through history since the Bible, and today, supernatural encounters taking place

all over the world, all the time. And I think more and more, we're seeing paranormal has become
