We got a real special show for you today. We have former Ole Miss offensive lineman, Michael Portner

client, Victor, Victor is starting his USFL career this week. I say starting. He played in the

USFL previously, but we talked about his time at Ole Miss, a guy that's overcome a lot of

adversity that never really got a fair shot at the

pre-draft process in trying to make an NFL roster due to a couple of untimely injuries.

Victor considered quitting football a couple of times and just really has an awesome story

about perseverance and not giving up on your dream.

Playing for the Houston gamblers this year in the U.F.L.

For those MPW fans out there, Tyler Sisky, A.J. McCarran, the Birmingham Stallions.

Hopefully that turns into a fierce rivalry.

But Victor, as you'll hear in this story, he's got a pretty crazy story,

is playing for the Houston Gamblers on a very last-minute call.

But like I said, overcome a lot of adversity to not give up on a dream.

And really all he wants is a fair shake in major professional football

and to be healthy during a normal off-season to make an NFL camp.

So anyway, a great guy who was only an Ole Miss for one year,

but really loves the place and revered it,

was I figure, a podcast favorite when we had him on a couple of times while he played here.

And just an awesome dude, always enjoyed catching up with my guy Victor Kern.
