It is our Sunday SEC baseball conversation with Colin Brister

on a Monday, just had a minor scheduling conflict on Sunday that led us to push the pod for a day.

So sorry about that, but I doubt any of you are just chomping at the bit to hear a reaction

to Ole Missis Series lost in Missouri that drops them to six and 18 in the southeastern conference.

We cover a little bit of that.

And of course, as we've done with the last couple weeks, kind of trying to blend it into the big picture of what's going to be a very consequential offseason for this program.

But we also talked about the big news in college baseball and what feels like to some degree, college sports and sports as a whole, the whole Alabama, Brad Bowhannon sports wagering

issue.

Then as we were recording a little bit more news broke about the Iowa version of that and how

the two are related.

Iowa state suspends athletes for potential illegal gambling violations as well as

26 athletes at the current athletes of the University of Iowa.

I think the total was 119.

So we really spent a large portion of the podcast talking about that, what it means,

how the two are related but separate and

what the potential fallout could be.

So a little bit of a different show, but maybe it worked out a little bit as we figured

out in real time on the podcast.
