It looks to me, looking at some of the coverage, the police were way outnumbered and didn't really have much of a strategy to deal with what was in front of them, particularly up in Rotherham, where basically a mob of people took over the holiday inn and did pretty much anything they wanted.

They stole chairs and started taking them outside and thrown them at the police.

They smashed windows.

They set fires to things, and the police. They smashed windows and they set

fires to things and the police seemed completely utterly powerless to do anything about it.

But let's have a look once more at what Kirstama said.

I utterly condemn the far-right thuggery we've seen this weekend.

Be in no doubt those that have participated in this violence will face the

full force of the law. The police will be making arrests, individuals will be held on remand,

charges will follow and convictions will follow.

I guarantee you will regret taking part in this disorder, whether directly or those

whipping up this action online and then running away themselves.

This is not protest. It is organised violent thuggery.
