Hey everyone. It is 4 o'clock in New York. I'm Alicia Menendez in for

Nicole Wallace. With a stroke of a pen and just a handful of words a former president of the

United States once again under a gag order intended to curb the damaging

effect of his rhetoric. The state appeals court in New York has denied Donald Trump's

bid to remove that gag order in the 250 million dollar civil fraud trial

against him, his family, and his business, the Trump organization.

The court rejecting the argument put forward by his attorneys that the gag order was unconstitutional.

That means Donald Trump and his attorneys are prohibited from making public statements about

the staff of Judge Arthur and Goron. The decision by the appeals court had come down

while court was in session. Judge and Goron let Trump's attorneys know

that the gag order was back in effect and said, quote,

I intend to enforce the gag orders rigorously and vigorously.

And I want to make sure the counsel informs their clients of the fact that the stay was vacated.

According to ABC News, Trump attorney Chris Kais replied,

we're aware. It's a tragic day for the rule of law, but we are aware, to which Judge and Goran said,

quote, it is what it is.

Donald Trump had taken full advantage of the stay on the gag order, repeatedly

attacking Judge and Goran's clerk, his last post targeting

her and the judge was put on truth social just yesterday.

And the effect of Trump's comments, well, it was incredible detail just last week.

New York court officials detailed a tsunami of threats against the clerk.
