Summary

Another season in the books, and it was one of the best in the last decade, perhaps the best. The fact that we're saying that about a team that won 18 games says a lot about a lot of things. We'll let you decide what those are. We give out year end awards, including Team MVP, The Ricky Sanchez Award, Lickface Of The Year, and much more (including a rap song by Hollis Thompson).

I know. I was just making it up. We was like, that's not right, but hey, yeah, what's up? You know what I'm thinking about earlier this week when the other guy left to work out.

0:39.0

Oh, yeah. One of my favorites. Yeah, it is. I mean, you know, it's been some time with the gym. Yeah, well, you can always, all right, whatever. I'm sorry. Nobody even like an eighth of the people that are listening to this even have any idea what I'm referencing. So big week in that.

0:58.0

The six or season ended. We can reflect, reflect briefly on that tanky final night of basketball. We will of course do our end of the season awards. I've come up with a bunch of different categories for the sixers. We have entered the season sixers awards. We're also I'm going to ask you for some quick grades on coach general manager, different sixers.

1:23.0

Also, we will get into only give out to NBA awards, just our meaningless opinion on who should win MVP and rookie of the year. Also, I have for you. I don't know if you forgot about this, but a certain rap song by a certain sixer about another sixer recorded in college that I was just going to play for you a clip. You haven't listen to it yet. Have you?

1:48.0

I have not listened to it. Okay, we got email this and I was I forget who email the guy is the guy has emailed us twice and has been great, but his email address is really weird. Let me look up his. Let me see if I can get his name so I can thank him. Yes, email like it comes up as T T R G G RT. So whatever.

2:07.0

You're a regular listener. You sent it to me. Thank you for sending us this song. Mike has not listened to it yet. It's very big deal. I was only going to play you a clip, but then I listened to it again today and found out the topic of it really dove into what this thing is about. And I feel like I have to play you the whole song. I have to play you the whole song. So well, that and but before I want to remind everyone that the rights to Ricky Sanchez Liberty ballers lottery party is made a Buffalo Wild Wings a grant in the Boulevard.

2:36.0

You can find all the details at com or spike eskin.com and of course the amazing t shirts with the drawing of a person that looks a lot like Sam Hinky with the lottery balls and the trust the process is only five bucks and available at she stake t's.com just go to the thing on the on the left that says RTRS draft t shirt and it's right there five bucks. If you pick it up at the party 15 bucks. If you want to mail to you. But you're coming to the party anyway.

3:05.0

Come to the party. Come to the party. Get your t shirt for five bucks. You know what order three of them because that way when you wear it every day and it starts to look rady. You can just bring out a new one. It's only five bucks anyway. So there you go. Support the podcast. Don't get any dollars from it. Really, but it's a that way you can support your trust in the process and and your poor decision making when it comes to fashion. Hey, I was wondering.

3:32.0

Could could this section give us like a season to assist? Is that like a possibility? They okay. So if we used his name, they won't I will tell you that much. If if we used his name, it would be more likely that they could because his name is protected. But we didn't use his name. So they would have in luck. If Sam Hinky wanted to be a real prick about it. I think he could probably shut us down. But Sam, please don't.

4:02.0

We're not making any dollars. We're not making any dollars. So we're just trying to start a cult. That's it. Yeah. I would say last year's t shirt that said Hinky on it in big letters may have been more, you know, more likely that it could get.

4:19.0

Yes. And do you remember actually at one time when Adam Aaron was CEO, he tweeted that anyone could make their own t shirts if they wanted to in seldom. Like he was it was in the days where they were trying to be super friendly. Yeah, he was like, we're not going to we're not going to come ever anybody. So, but I don't I think it would be more trouble than it's worth, you know, we're not.

4:39.0

It's been a good run. We've come a long way since Adam missed the guy. Yeah, I miss him a little bit too. He's a good. I mean, he was tried. He tried his ass off. I'll tell you that much. I mean, he tried his ass off. He was the brand and Davies of CEOs. He really did that dude was at every game visiting with people. All that kind of shit. It was amazing. Oh, and one more coming on your radio show and letting me talk. Yeah, remember when you had to apologize to him when they traded for Biden. In retrospect, we should probably run that back and everybody should apologize to everybody else.

5:09.0

That's the best thing about the podcast is that you can never look at podcasts from the past. No, there's just no there's no way to look at things we've said and corroborate if they're true or if they happen. There's no record of it whatsoever. None. One more thing about the t shirt. We're probably going to have to stop selling them or taking pre-orders about a week before so we can make sure we have them. So I would say don't wait, you know, because I don't know what that date's going to be yet. So just get your t shirt. All right.

5:39.0

So before we as I mentioned, we were sent a song this week. The song is by Hollis Thompson and I guess teammate at Georgetown Tate Tucker.

5:52.2

Now they recorded a rap song because this guy was running for Georgetown student association president and the vice president that was running was none other than Henry Sims.

6:09.3

Look face himself. So this is a rap song by Hollis Thompson, essentially about Henry Sims. I think this is like the discovery. Like this is like like this is like finding like grants tomb or something. I don't know. This is a I don't even know what that means. This is a big discovery. I think. Would you agree?

6:34.5

I haven't listened to it. So I told you I'm not going to do it until the podcast. All right. So tell me like it. Like tell me how much I enjoy this. It's unbelievable. It is the amount of times Henry Sims has mentioned in this song is unbelievable.

6:49.8

So are we going to play the whole song? Yes, because and I'll tell you when Hollis Thompson is about to come in. The first verse. It's about a minute in and I'll pause it and let you know.

6:59.3

The first verse is a is from Tate Tucker and I'm telling you normally I would not play the Tate Tucker verse, but he mentions Henry Sims in it. So I like I don't think I can let this go. Right. Is that fair? Let's roll. Okay. All right. Here it is. Here is like Henry Sims and the other guy for president by Tate Tucker and Hollis Thompson.

7:20.9

Oh, wait. Hold on. There we go.

7:29.2

Every day at school the problems are clear. Everybody want to be a damn cheerleader.
