and I say former with a heavy heart of the grinder on Fox that is Mike Levin the grinder

unceremoniously cancelled with some other shows I guess they all got announced at once

but the grinder at it upset my wife she was not happy about it I know a bunch of our listeners

are unhappy about it Mike sorry to hear here is your chance to to reflect on the grinder

oh well you know it's uh it was to be expected a ratings weren't great actually they were

awful but you know my episode got a little boost in the Philadelphia area as we as you

said earlier but uh but yeah no it's uh it was a funny show it was an interesting show

I think it tried to do something different the guys who created it you know had a had

a vision in like a tone that they wanted to hit and it sort of felt different from all

network comedy and I think people liked it but not enough people found it and uh who knows

it's one of those things yeah well it seems like it's hard if you're especially hard if

you're on a network right because they need ratings as opposed to something like Netflix

or you know Yahoo or they still they still do that like a show you know HBO you know networks are

more strict to it they adhere to the rating system even if it's a little bit archaic more closely

than other places do but um like and show like togetherness was on HBO and it didn't get enough

eyes so they canceled it and it's like it was like a prestige show um and the same same goes for

other stuff Yahoo like totally folded um they video yeah they picked up community and then like

they just didn't make any money off it and totally just like folded fast that's interesting it's

we're trying to negotiate how to make money in this whole thing yeah well I mean the digital it's
