Hey everybody, hi friends, well from still very hot Salt Lake City, Utah, it's

thank God I'm Atheist, the podcast. I'm Frank Feldman, and I'm Dan Beager. And coming up on the show today,

we're gonna sort of look back to something that we missed, which was the stabbing of Selma Rushdie.

And we kind of want to talk about blasphemy and some issues of how that relates to freedom of

speech and all that kind of stuff. All that stuff. And I want to talk a lot about the place where he

was stabbed, which I have a deep personal connection. Oh, well, I won't talk a lot about it,

but should talk was a place that I've, that I've spent some time. Anyway, oh, okay, well,

we will get to that. Yes, indeed. In the meantime, we have some, there were some things that

happened this week that we need to talk about. Dan, as is our job, it's like kind of the thing

that we do. So yeah, we should do that. First up, a school district in Dallas is, I don't

know, in the Dallas area, the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex as it were. It's a hell of a Metroplex.

So much of it. There's just so much of it. Let's see. So I guess Texas recently, there's a new law

that requires public schools to hang posters, let's say in God, we trust if someone donates. Sure,

a poster to do the school or the school district or whatever. And so this is, you know, we're

constantly up against this whole thing because it's the stupid motto, the national motto of these

United States in God, we trust. Didn't used to be. No, I don't know. However, it is something that

Christian nationalists are just so proud of. And so, but others who find this a little,

little too Christian nationally, right? Yeah. They came up with the idea that, well, maybe we should

put up posters or donate some posters where in God, we trust is written out in Arabic.

Yeah. And which is delight. And others wear and sometimes the same one where it's both in Arabic

and with lots of little rainbows. In order just to, you know, hey, this, this, I'm donating this.

Right. This meets the requirements. You're supposed to hang it up. Yeah.
