Now, here's Joyce with today's teaching.

I taught a message at our Women's Conference a couple of years ago in St. Louis on excellence.

And I had a man, I'm not going to give you his name because you'd know who he is.

He's a very popular, younger preacher today.

And he told me after he listened to that message, he said,

I have never, I've been in church all my life, and I have never heard anybody teach on being excellent.

Now, what's wrong with that?

You know, we don't need to just hear nothing but doctrine all the time.

We need good, sound, solid doctrine, but we need to teach people how to live.

We need to teach people how to get along and how to be excellent and how to be honest and how to be truthful and how to be real.

And part of it is taking responsibility for all your stuff.

And then, you know, Moses led the Israelites through the desert,

but they depended on Moses way too much.

I mean, Moses did their praying, he did their repenting.

They would sin and go off complaining that they didn't like the circumstances they got.

And Moses would go get on his face in the prayer tent and pray all night for God to forgive him.

I mean, he had some kind of special love for those people.
