For many riders, adventure motorcycling is all about pushing the limits.

Pushing into areas that an adventure-sized bike probably shouldn't be, or at least a few years ago,

people would have stood there and wide-eyed

wonder at your impossibly large machine going in places where maybe a dirt bike

would be expected but that's the thrill of it for many riders And of course when we push those limits things

occasionally go wrong like the bike that quits running because you dropped it in the

river or maybe the battery that won't crank your your engine over in the morning

broken chain the list is really, but when you have a dead bike, what's your choice? You call a tow truck, and that works in most cases, but if you're in a place where you can't get a tow truck or maybe it's very expensive like the

outback of Australia or the Yukon or Alaska you may find yourself in a situation

where calling a tow truck is out of the question and towing the bike is your only

option.

Now as easy as it sounds, hooking a strap from one bike to another and dragging it down the road,

well it's not like that at all. It's extremely complicated and very difficult to do
