| 1:21.5 | Yeah, yeah, we did. So Jake and I did have a relationship before. I directed quite a few episodes of new girl. |
| 1:32.5 | And we sort of became buddies there and we became like, you know, sending ideas back and forth to each other. |
| 1:38.5 | We'd actually written some things before we hadn't made. So we were kind of like over the years we became in sync with like writing stuff and, you know, found that we had a similar tone and whatnot. |
| 1:49.5 | And yeah, we just really wanted to actually make something. And that's kind of where this whole thing started. |
| 1:56.5 | What was the sort of the inspiration for you to take on this story? |
| 2:01.5 | Well, I mean, honestly, the actual inspiration was, first and foremost, that we were in, we were like just a couple of months into the pandemic. |
| 2:09.5 | And we neither of us had worked for a while and we were thinking this is going to be, it's going to be like this for a while. |
| 2:15.5 | Like, it would be fun to make something again. |
| 2:20.5 | And we sort of got together with the idea of, let's spend two days together and just kick around some ideas and see if there's something that we can, we knew we didn't want to do something about the pandemic. |
| 2:33.5 | But what something we can shoot safely, what favours can we ask, what locations do we have and all of that kind of stuff. |
| 2:40.5 | Yeah, it's, you know, that's the honest answer about what we actually wanted to do. |
| 2:45.5 | First and foremost, which is, it's much more just boring and pragmatic than we had a story that we were dying to tell when needed to tell. |
| 2:53.5 | We actually, we wanted to make something like that was where we started with this whole thing. |
