Today we'll be interviewing former NFL All Pro and Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams

Heisman but before I get to Ricky it's election day eve and this is a very very

important day and I want to talk about what I'll be looking for tomorrow is a number of key

races are on the ballot. It's also a big week in Washington as we think we'll

finally see votes on the two major pillars of President Biden's domestic

agenda, the investment in infrastructure and jobs act and the Bill Back Better Act.

I know there's a lot of talk about Virginia and New Jersey's

governor races as Bell Weathers for Democrats in 2022 and while I agree to some extent the

nuance is helpful here I think Governor Murphy

wins in New Jersey easily and I think McAuliffe wins and a Taiwan but even if he

doesn't I'd warn against Democratic overreaction here. Here's why.

Democrats have to know that when Trump isn't on the ballot, our voters aren't as motivated.

That's just our reality. And when you win as much as we've won in the last two cycles

you eventually lose ground in seats. That's just what happens when you're in the

majority. No matter what happens in Virginia on Tuesday it it's in period of the Democrats in Washington, stay the course and pass these bills because that's the right thing to do.

And quite frankly, there's no point in fumbling the bag on your priorities when you're likely going to lose seats anyway.

No point losing seats in getting nothing done.

Abstract policy conversations on cable news often missed the done. They vote based on who they like and don't like and if the potholes on their street are

field or not and what news they're seeing on television and in their feeds.
