Last weekend, Rick Warren hosted both Barack Obama and John McCain at his mega-church

in Southern California, one of the largest churches in the U.S.

This two-hour event, broadcast live on CNN, is just one sign of the cross-cultural authority

the warrants have achieved in a handful of years.

The voice of reason gets attacked from extremes on every side.

The fact is, when you try to stake out a middle road, which we believe is what Jesus did.

Jesus had values, had rules, had commandments, and he says, this is the way to do it.

But he also said, I want to see mercy.

And he also predicted the dignity of people.

This is speaking of faith.
