She selected me six overall. It was one of the luckiest breaks of my life. For one, I found that my

family's values were at the heart of the Patriots values. I was fortunate to join a veteran

team because I had a lot to learn.

My first year I went around carrying their pads and getting the Dunkin' Donuts for the

guys.

I felt like the intern, but I was happy to do it.

Because in exchange, these generous men shared their experience and their wisdom.

They taught me the nuances of the game.

Willie Mack taught me to be a true professional to really pay attention to the details.

Rodney Harrison taught me what it actually meant to practice hard.

OTIS taught me how to take care of my body, and Tile taught me how to find hard. OTIS taught me how to take care of my body,

and Tileau taught me how to find joy in the struggle.

AP was my spiritual leader,

and Vrable was busy drawing up plays to get us open,

which he's still doing to this day.

And we had a young quarterback, but we made it work.

Part of Richard Seymour's Hall of Fame induction speech yesterday.

So I was just about to say another Patriot makes the Hall of Fame. It's not like there's been that many. First player ever drafted by Bill Belichick in the Hall of Fame. Is that right? Unbelievable. First one. First one he's ever drafted, that's in. That's fitting in a lot of ways. It's fitting. And also sort of like, I have a lot of jumping off points about this. You know, you sort of wonder, is the Patriots, you know, is the Patriots dynasty over? It's so corny for me to even say. But don't you feel we're post-dynasty? Yes. Even with Belichick still here, I thought they'd keep it going. I thought we'd have an extension of it.

With Belichick still here has not come to pass and I don't see it. No, if it comes back, I would say it's a new incarnation. I mean, I don't think it's the same thing. I think it's totally different. And I don't think it's over. I don't think they're going to get back with Bill. I don't. So I sort of feel like we, the Patriots experience is kind of in this phase where, say,

where the Pittsburgh Steelers were in the 80s.

And so for some of my age, that's sort of what I remember.
