and it's not about the Saturday night massacre at the Department of Justice. It's not even

about Nixon's famous Checkers the Dog speech and the related slush fund scandal.

With Nixon, there are so many dodgy dealings.

But this criminal tale comes from his international hopscotching days as the Vice President

of America.

That's when, according to a long-running legend, then Vice President Richard Nixon allegedly

muled a suitcase filled with marijuana

through U.S. Customs for the jazz legend and noted pothead Louis Armstrong.

This story is according to street legend, whispered rumors, and of course social media.

You can find this story repeated online. While the details may vary, the story is

essentially the same. But the big question remains, could it possibly be true? In order to revisit

this long-whispered crime legend and to separate fact from fiction, I spoke with my favorite
