Hello from Washington. I'm Chuck Todd, and this is the Chuck Toddcast. So while all eyes have been

focused on the Trump administration's domestic actions, including on immigration,

these spending freezes and everything else, there's a big part of the Trump agenda that is

happening out of sight,

though if you pay attention, you could be following it, and it's foreign policy. The Secretary of State,

Marco Rubio, was the first cabinet position to be confirmed, but he isn't alone, and in fact,

it's pretty clear that Marco Rubio is going to be just one of many involved with foreign policy

decisions because Donald Trump's going to make a lot of

his own decisions and he's going to have more direct aids in certain conflicts.

The White House has already named special envoys for multiple countries and regions.

There's an envoy for Russia, an envoy for Ukraine, Russian Ukraine.

There's an envoy in the Middle East.

There's going to be an even an envoy in the U.K.

Over and above an ambassador to the U.K. Over and above an ambassador to the UK.

So, and we know these envoys are going to have direct access, not to the Secretary of State, per se, but to the President of United States.

So there's going to be a lot of upheaval.

In fact, Democratic Senator Chris Murphy believes that the situation is going to be a diplomatic mess because

countries aren't going to be sure do we speak to the United States through the Secretary of State?

Do we speak to the United States through the ambassador? Do you speak to the United States through

the Special Envoy? Or do you just call up your lobbyist that has the direct line to Susie Wiles

in the White House Chief of Staffs Office and go from there.
