the Pilot Podcast. My name is Justin and I am your host. Today I am talking with Rich Curcio and as you heard in that intro,

Rich has had to battle some pretty crazy things so far early on in his aviation career,

some things that not everyone has to deal with he

has lost his medical twice due to illness reasons and he has gotten it back both times

he is currently killing it in the aviation game he got his hours as fast as he can. He's getting

ready to start working for a part 91 company this September, so hopefully in

the next couple of weeks. Rich is just bawled out and Rich's story is one that I think everyone can learn something from

whether it's what to do when you lose a medical how to get the medical back the

process the bureaucracy that you go through to get this back and how to overcome that and

what you need to do, how to get all your eggs in a basket to show the FAA that you are ready to

come back and fly and prove to them that you deserve your

medical back. Some of the other things we talk about in this episode are just

why Rich wanted to fly. What motivated Rich to keep flying as something that he wanted to do when time seemed tough when

time when he didn't think maybe I can't be a pilot. How Rich actually came to a

deciding point that if he didn't pass his instrument truck ride he was either going to give up

aviation or if he passed it he was going to go 100 percent and thank goodness he passed it because

here he is today just doing great things figure out how important it is to find someone to be in your corner in aviation, whether it's a girlfriend,

whether it's a wife, boyfriend, husband, friend, mentor.
