That was a clip from this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. At the end of the episode, we also got the mid-season trailer for what's to come this season. And I thought it looked fantastic. I mean, a lot of hat work going on from Tamara, which I never realized until this episode just how many hats Tamara actually is wearing in this show, because they were showing flashbacks and looking at a cowboy hat. Then they were in the scene in the present day, she's wearing a Carmen San Diego hat. And then the future scenes from the midseason trailer, she's wearing some other kind of fucking hat. Stupid looking hat. And I was like, when did Tammy Sue start wearing so much hat, doing so much hat work? I didn't notice it until just now. And it was like, all of a sudden, my eyes were open. I woke up. I woke up. Hello, everyone. We have so much to discuss. Katie's on the outs. Katie wasn't in much of the mid-season trailer either because she's seemingly off the show. and this episode, it seemed to me like they were auditioning new cast members to take Katie's place. But here's the thing that I've noticed in the past week or so. A lot of people reaching out to me on social media. I talked to people at the grocery store about these shows. And it seems to me like everybody's actually on Katie's side. And here's the reason why is because it never works when a cast king's up on one other cast member, that the person has to be so incredibly unlikable. It doesn't matter what they did. Like, we can all acknowledge that Katie's probably a liar, right? Like we said last week, they're all a bunch of liars, though. But the truth is, I think Katie has lied about things, whatever, and she has talked to bloggers. It is what it is.

But you, the whole cast is trying to ging up against Katie and drive her off the show. And that never works because the audience will always side with the person that was ganged up on unless that person is so incredibly unlikable. And Katie's just not that unlikable. So despite the fact that the audience can maybe see that she has been

lying or has done some sketchy things, we don't care. We're on Katie's side. And so I have

2:11.0

noticed that a lot of people have been reaching out and saying, Team Katie, Justice for Katie,

2:15.1

hashtag, we love Katie. And so I get it. That's what happens. You really got to be super unlikable. It has happened in the past where they've maybe driven someone off the show because everybody hated them. But they've got to be a pretty big demon. And the truth is, Katie's just not that unlikable. So anyway, we're going to discuss it all. Sit tight little bear. I also want to mention that on the podcast feed, there are two new episodes this week. So an old buddy of mine, Michael Strassner, wrote and stars in this movie called The Baltimoreans, which I just thought was like such a beautiful. It's like a little independent film. Made it on a shoestring budget, but it turned out so, so good, and it's won all these awards, and it's getting rave reviews, and it comes out in New York and L.A., I believe, this weekend, and the next weekend it's going to be all over the place. But him and I used to do improv together, and I've known him in a different lifetime. And I'm so proud of this movie that he did, and I just loved it. It's set at Christmas time, but it's a quiet, like, relationship-y movie.

I sort of liken it to a movie like Before Sunrise or Before Sunset, if you've seen that movie with Ethan Hawk and Julie Deppley.

Deppley Delpy.

Am I saying that, right?

And you guys know what I'm talking about.

But if you want to see like a good,

3:24.5

romantic and a little dramatic and kind of wonderful indie movie, go see The Baltimoreans and listen to

my chat with Michael. It's going to be on the podcast feed. And you can hear him talk about

3:36.5

creating this movie on a shoestring budget and getting it to the Duplas brothers who produced it and

one of them directed it. So it's a really interesting, fascinating story. So if you're into behind
