behind enemy lines. Tonight's episode, No, ma'am, that's not history. We are living in a strange

and interesting time. Even as the LDS Church becomes more transparent about its history,

including Joseph Smith's practice of polygamy.

There is a growing number of people within the church or people who used to be members of

the church. And by that, I mean the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Mormons,

who are arguing against the church's attempts to be more transparent. And specifically, what they're

arguing about is that Joseph Smith did not, repeat, did not practice polygamy. This was a

conspiracy that was placed upon Joseph Smith by ill-designing men and women who got together to

accuse him of polygamy even though he was completely innocent of any such

act or teaching. Those people are sometimes called the polygamy deniers. Now, that doesn't mean that

they think that polygamy never happened because they certainly think that polygamy happened with

Brigham Young and Hebrew C. Kimball and a number of other people, both in Navu, as well as out west.

But specifically, they deny the idea that Joseph Smith himself taught and practiced polygamy.

So when I use the term polygamy denier in this podcast, that is what I mean.

And what we're fighting is that these polygamy deniers seem to be proliferating both

inside the church and outside the church. And one of those people who is inside the church,

at least for now, who is denying that Joseph Smith practiced polygamy, is a lady named

Michelle Stone. She has a podcast called 132 problems with polygamy. And when she says 132 problems, I think that what

she's talking about specifically there is a reference to section 132 in which is set forth

the commandment from God to Joseph Smith to practice polygamy. Of course, because they do not believe that Joseph Smith

practiced polygamy, they do not believe that this was a real revelation that was really received,
