Testing 123, testing 1,2,3, This is Radio Free Mormon on the air. Broadcasting

behind enemy lines. Tonight's episode on teaching Sunday school. Now, as every Latter-day Saint knows,

there is no greater calling than teaching. In fact, there are teachers throughout every ward

in the church. There are teachers of the primary kids. There are teachers throughout every ward in the church.

There are teachers of the primary kids.

There are teachers of the young women.

There are teachers of the young men.

There are teachers of the grown-ups.

There are teachers every step along the way in the LDS church structure.

And as fate would have it, I have been a teacher in various callings throughout

my membership in the LDS Church. My first teaching calling came shortly after I was baptized back in

1978, and I was called to teach the eight-year-old class. I had absolutely no idea what I was going

to teach them. I did not know anything about the gospel.

I knew nothing about the scriptures.

And I was actually terrified to teach the eight-year-olds.

And thank God that the church provided me with a manual.

So I could read through the lesson and I could use that as my tool to teach my classes. I also remember

that on one day a member of the primary presidency, and this is just the ward primary presidency,

was going to visit in my class to observe me teaching these eight-year-olds. And frankly,

I was terrified, if you can can imagine I was terrified that this primary

president would see how I taught be horrified by it and I would be weighed in the balances and found

wanting because I was so scared about the entire situation I even remember what the subject matter
