Tonight's episode, Magic and Mormonism.

This past Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 was a seminal event in the history of Thrive.

Now Thrive is an organization to help support those who are transitioning out of Mormonism. The idea behind the name is to show that

leaving Mormonism is not necessarily a dead end, even though leaders of the church would want the

members to believe that.

But actually, people can and do thrive after Mormonism.

And that's what the whole purpose of these meetings is.

To have a place for people to come together who are transitioning

away from Mormonism to meet other like-minded people and to recognize and be

encouraged in the fact that yes Virginia members of the church can thrive after Mormonism.

This past Saturday January 22nd was a seminal event in that while there have been

prior Thrive meetings such as the one in November of last year, 2021 in Salt Lake City,

where I was fortunate enough to be invited to not only attend but to present at that

the Thrive Conference in Salt Lake City, this past Saturday

was the first time that there was a worldwide Thrive event.
