But the big story in Washington related to the football team yesterday is, and we're going to talk to

Mayor Bowser about this more coming up at 745, is Washington D.C. is now one step closer to making a play for the commanders

and the return to the former cited RFK Stadium. They had a vote yesterday, the Senate Energy

and Natural Resources Committee passed legislation that would give DC control of RFK Stadium

by a 17 to 2 vote.

So now the bill can move to a floor vote in the Senate.

I'm sure I know what a floor vote means.

I just don't know what exactly what that means.

Just a full Senate would vote.

So the bill,

Memorial Stadium Campus Revitalization Act,

has the purpose of transferring control of federal land,

which is what the stadium sits on to the local government of D.C.

Then if the local government gets in the mix, they can bid, as well as Maryland can bid, and Virginia can bid.

I think it's just a procedural hurdle that always needed to be overcome for them to be seriously involved. And I think
