0:42.8 | So this panel, it's called the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and they really |
0:47.7 | advise on things like the childhood vaccine schedule, on whether a new vaccine should be |

0:56.1 | certain groups or that kind of thing. They look at, you know, the research that's been published |
1:00.5 | and the studies that have been done with them and they determine recommendations for how the |
1:05.2 | public should view those vaccines for whether those should be recommended or not, that kind of |

1:11.3 | influential for things like determining if an insurance company is going to cover certain |
1:16.3 | vaccines or if the people who want them are going to have to pay out of pocket. It's set this |
1:20.6 | guidance that also professional medical organizations then follow in terms of when they're |

1:28.9 | So this is a very important panel. It's traditionally been staffed with experts in vaccines. |
