Donald's handpicked Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert Kennedy, appeared before the House Appropriations Committee today.

It was his first appearance since being confirmed as the Secretary of HHS, and he was actually there to address the White House's 2026 budget proposal.

He was there to explain the firings and restructurings at HHS, and he was there to defend

his plans for the agency's future, but almost immediately, because he's psychotic, it went off the rest.

I'm sorry, was that putting too fine a point on it? Perhaps, but you judge for yourselves.

He was asked about measles at one point. For those of us

who are sane and pay attention to such things, measles is a disease that was very nearly

eradicated before virulent anti-vax adherence like Robert Kennedy gained influence, and they gained

influence in part because of him. So I want you to, this is sort of a trigger warning.

I want you to buckle up, hold on to your hat, whatever you need to do, because here's the answer he gave

to that question about measles.

As you've previously said, you've vaccinated your children.

Just because I think this is a helpful answer, and this isn't a gotcha, I promise.

If you had a child today, would you vaccinate that child for measles?

For measles?

Probably for measles.

You know, what I would say is my opinions about vaccines are irrelevant.

I have directed Jay Bottachara to science so that everybody can make that decision. But I, you know, I don't want to. So that everybody can make that decision.

But I, you know, I don't want to seem like I'm being evasive. Yeah. But I don't think people should be taking advice, medical advice, from me. Right. No, I got that. And I'm not asking you to give the milk advice, but would you vaccinate your child from measles? answer that question directly that it will seem like I'm giving advice to other people.

And I don't want to be doing that.

I want people to make up.

But that's kind of your jurisdiction because CDC does give advice, right?
