So I define power in years of life by saying that power is indicative of people living out their natural life.

I love that.

And I love that you're using natural life because it is different than the life that we're given.

Oh, yeah. If you can imagine a life without racism, how much longer people would live, a life without sexism, how much longer people live. So there are different ways to look at power. I look at its ultimate end,

is to be able to live out one's life. And too many people in this country because of either

discrimination, because of some structural barrier, literally live far less than what they should be

living. And so that's how I measure power.
