Hello, welcome to Red Minus. My name is Allison and you are listening to our episode for

0:21.4

November of 2021. So as you know, if you follow us on Twitter, this month I'm going to

0:27.7

be doing an episode on my own while my normal co-host Brett is dealing with some family and

0:33.9

interpersonal things that are going on that require his attention. So I will be the person who

0:38.9

you will be hearing from for this month's episode, which will be a little weird. I'm very used

0:44.1

to working collaboratively with Brett on this and I love our discussions and I really look forward

0:47.9

to having him back on next month. But for now, I am going to do my best to try and get an episode

0:52.9

out to you that I think, you know, covers some interesting topics and will still be useful. So I

0:58.9

on Twitter and on other social media platforms put out a post asking for input on what we should

1:04.8

1:20.2

qualified to tackle on my own without Brett because really it is so helpful to have a co-host who

1:25.6

is as intelligent and as thoughtful and caring as Brett to bounce ideas off of. So I didn't want

1:30.6

to tackle anything too big because I really would like to save those for that context. However,

1:36.7

one comrade did contact me who uses our show for political education and organizing they do.

1:42.4

And this comrade reached out basically asking if I could use this month's episode to rerecord

1:49.2

an episode on on practice. So we covered on practice previously as a collaborative episode with

1:55.1

the Marx madness podcast. And while this is definitely I think a very fun episode, it doesn't

1:59.5

follow our usual approach to kind of more systematic breakdowns of the text and application.

2:04.2

We did it more as kind of a collaborative project. And this comrade pointed out that having kind

2:09.1

of more of the analytical approach that we take in a lot of our episodes done for on practice would be

...
