Hi there. So the awards season is rolling down the track very quickly now. The Director's Guild most recently came up with its list.

Now, in the main nominations, I would say there are not a lot of surprises there or possibly not

really any. We're looking at Moonlight, Lion, La La Land, Manchester by the Sea, and Arrival. So this is a list of all first-time nominees, which is saying something.

Now, notably, Denzel Washington is not there for fences, Martin Scorsese not there for silence, Mel Gibson not there for Hacksaw Ridge.

We'd be surprised if any of these were not listed for Academy Award nominations when those
