here. Have a listen. Can I start by asking how this case came to you? Maloney Ethie's case has been

swirling around me since I started at CBC, actually,

but it didn't come to pass that I was able to do anything about it. I've had OPP officers

suggesting I work on Melanie's case as I was working on other cases, but I was always encumbered

or too busy on another case until the next call allowed me the space to work on her case.

Long and the short of it is, it's been a case that's haunted Ontario as a province for many years since it happened.

Indeed, you can hear in the podcast people talk about the sign that's on the highway, on the way to New Liskard.

It's a huge billboard of Melanie.

And it's sort of the help me solve my case billboard.

But it's her face.

And she really literally oversees that part of Ontario, that northeastern part of Ontario,

right on the border with Quebec.
