Chuck talks about the importance of understanding

the doctrines inside of Christianity that have led

to where the church is today and the influence

of the church worldwide.

He encourages us to understand these doctrines

and the trajectory of the church

as a part of God's grand story that he invites us into.

To close, Chuck encourages us to spend time and energy

looking at how Christianity proposes rather than imposes itself inside

of culture. Here's Chuck Colson with this week's Breakpoint podcast. If you're looking at the

environment that we live in as Christian today, you've got to look at the fact that you've got

look at from two perspectives, the external environment, that is the world around us, and the internal

environment, that is the state of the church, of which we are a part, and of which many of you

are going to go on and become leaders. On the domestic front, when you look at the external

challenges, we see a whole new genre of literature.

Atheists used to be kind of quiet, self-respecting professors smoking their pipes and tweed jackets on ivy-colored,

ivy-covered campuses.
