the division, New Orleans.

Quante Rita has been in Angola Prison for almost 30 years, serving life without parole for the murder

of his childhood friend, Mark Rockston. Quante has always said he's innocent, but sometimes it takes

his wife Vanessa to keep him going. Because sometimes I'd be, you know, just wake up and, wow, am I ever going to get out of this situation?

And she would be right there. Man, you're going to get out of this situation.

She never gave up on her. She never just believed.

In the investigation, there were two suspects. One was Bird, a man with an alleged motive

and who had just got out of prison. The other was Quante, who had an eyewitness against his name.

That eyewitness was Earl Price. Price testified that he had identified Quante in a liner

and signed the back of his photo. And that was a central piece of evidence in the case.

There was no scientific evidence linking Mr. Reader to the crime. There was no physical evidence.

There were no fingerprints. There were no firearms identification. There was nothing.

The entire case rested upon the testimony of one gentleman.
