Hello everyone and welcome along to our final episode of Beyond the Grid Revisited. I'm

Tom Clarkson and I'm back with another classic conversation from the Beyond the Grid

Back Catalog, ahead of the return of a brand new series of the podcast on March 17th.

This week we're looking back on a conversation that was extremely popular when we first

released it two years ago in March 2019. It's fair to say it was the first time many of

you had heard this particular gentleman speak at length about his life, family and career

and in such an engaging way as well. I'm talking of course about the Iceman, Kimmy

Reikonen. At the time of recording, Kimmy was just about to enter his first season of

Formula One with Alfa Romeo since leaving Ferrari and in doing so he was rejoining the team

who in their Salva guys had given him his Formula One debut in 2001. It's fair to say that

Kimmy was looking a lot more relaxed and happy as we spoke at winter testing in Barcelona

than he had done in a while. He was happy to shoot the breeze about everything from his

party boy past to the joys of being a family man. Oh and he gave us a very memorable introduction

as well, but you'll hear more on that in a minute. Did I think that two years later Kimmy

Reikonen would be preparing for another go on the F1 Marigold round? Possibly not, although
