Hey, this is Drake. I'm gonna pause here for the people. In this episode it's me,

DR Akaya and Miles talking about the news that you don't know from the past week,

the under-reported news, and this week we even focus a little on Beyonce. And I

sit down and talk to Professor Robin Kelly to talk about his new book Freedom

Dreams, The Black Radical Imagination. We tell what his work is a black historian,

his experience documenting the ongoing struggle for black liberation, and I learned

a lot. There were pieces of history in this book that I was like,

here I wish I read this during the protest. Here we go. My best for this week is to

try and find those historical pieces about liberation. I learned so much

Professor Kelly's book the way that other activists long before I was even

somebody's dream or idea I fought and so much of it I wish I had learned

earlier but all of it comes in new times. So I'd say pick a piece of history and learn

that as my advice for this week. Here we go.
