Okay, this week we have got Cody Townsend back on the show for our monthly

reviewing the news episode. And so, yeah, we're a little bit late getting to our February

2021 news recap, but this is a good episode. And we cover a lot of diverse things in this conversation, including some changes that

are coming to filming permits and filming in national parks. Cody and I talk about lift line etiquette,

and, you know, there is a heated debate about whether or not it's okay to leave skis, to hold your place in lift lines.

So we try to get to the bottom of this. We talk about the future of free ride comps,

comps like natural selection and kings and queens of corbets. And we raise the question,

are these the future? We talk about backcountry skiing

and this season and why we've seen so many avalanche fatalities. We also talk about the

future of backcountry skiing and whether we might see some new developments and emerging

trends along the lines of controlled backcountry.

From there, we talk about the wild and very sobering story of Dean Cummings, and we wrap

things up with a couple of album recommendations and a book that Cody and I both plan to read in the near future.
