So, Ian, what a year it's been.

And this is our opportunity as people sit with their feet up in front of the fire,

mulling over everything that's happened in 2018,

for us to set them straight, basically,

do our own for the many podcast review of the year.

I have to say,

2018, I don't think, has been a particularly brilliant year in a lot of different ways.

But it's a year that I don't think is going to be remembered particularly fondly by anyone,

depending on, even like in the world of politics, in the media, personally.

I think I'll be glad to see the back of it. So will I for a range of reasons. But I mean,

it hasn't been, I mean, we are going to talk about quite a wide range of things that have

happened during the course of the year. But the whole thing has been overshadowed in terms of

the British political system by Brexit and

everything around it, hasn't it? Forcing out almost all the rest of the debate and the

issues that might want to be covered. Well, I don't know whether we want to start off with

Brexit because that'll probably mean that nobody listens to the rest of it. So maybe we'll come

on to that a little bit later so back in January

not an awful lot happened in January but what one of the things that did happen is that

the tree is that Theresa May launched the campaign that was to go on throughout the rest of the

year to limit the amount of plastic used and I think this is one of those quite rare

environmental campaigns that actually is beginning to be really successful. So during the course of
