Hiddle Book Club is back with a splash. We're ringing in the new year with Independent with Corrine Jean-Pierre. And the subtitle of this book, it's called Independent, A Look Inside a Broken White House Outside the Party Lines. And as we'll get into, there's not much that is revealed about the White House at all. Yeah, no, I feel lied to with that, like, subtitle because there was no look inside a broken

White House except for like one minuscule three-page thing where nobody is named and nothing

is learned other than there was a personal grievance at one point.

Yeah, if somebody sued over the subtitle, I think it would be a, they'd have a legitimate claim.

But I think the alternative subtitle could have been and should have been independent, what too much Biden does to a motherfucker. Huge. Because this book is just straight up delusional. And before we get into, you know, the reviews and all that stuff, the intro of the episode, I do want to read an excerpt just to get us warmed up. Because this thing, it's perfect. And I think, I think this excerpt specifically encapsulates a lot

of what the book is about. Oh, yeah. And a lot of like how she approaches things. And this is going

to be the start of chapter two titled The Politics. Incredibly pretentious throughout the

entire thing, man. I took 107 days for granted.

Yes, no, absolutely.
